You will be playing as Joe Southwood who is a real fink. During the Secession War, he was a bounty hunter. He killed bandits and innocents, thieves and heroes. He killed for money without wondering if it was right or not. After that war he decided to change his life and built a ranch with the money he had earned. Unfortunately, a man like him can not change. He could never become a farmer or a cropper. After a couple of years, he left everything and started to wander from town to town, wasting his last few, dirty, foofoollars in gambling, whisky and woman. It was during a night in jail, after a brawl in a saloon, that he met Crazy Hit. He told about a box full of gold, hidden by the Confederate Army before the end of the war. The name of the officer escorting the gold was Gary Hollander, now known as The Duke. Once Joe got out of jail, he began his search for Hollander. Right now, he is almost arrived at the town of Cutted Rock, where he should find that guy. He will find Duke who will tell him to find that gold, one way or another. And when Joe will have it, he will enjoy the few years that he still have to live.
